HealthInsight, a private Medicare quality improvement organization, named four Covenant Health hospitals among the top ten in the state. Two of those hospitals, Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge and Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, have alternated as number one. Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center received the Joint Commission's highest rating for heart attack care among all area hospitals. Covenant Health is the only health system in Tennessee ever to have all of its acute care hospitals in the top quartile in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Appropriate Care Measures performance report, a distinction we've achieved many times. Professional Research Consultants has recognized Covenant Health facilities with multiple patient satisfaction awards, including a Crystal Award - their highest honor - for Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Center. Covenant Health facilities have won more than a dozen Tennessee Quality Awards, including the highest level Governor's Award won by Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Covenant Health's President and CEO, Tony Spezia, was recognized with the highest individual honor for ethical practices from Health Ethics Trust. Our IT initiatives have won awards and recognition from healthcare technology firms and IT industry publications. Our hospitals have been recognized with several of the Institute for Healthcare Improvement's highest Level Five rankings.
